Google has the ability to make Health Connect the default app on Android 14. If the application becomes a standard feature of the operating system, more and more application developers will incorporate the service into their applications.
The ‘Health Connect’ platform and application programming interface (API) system, co-developed by Google and Samsung, will purportedly be included in the Android 14 system software.
According to SamMobile, Health Connect is an Android API and platform that collects health and fitness data from applications and devices, securely stores it, and allows users to share that data with other applications and devices.
Google may make Health Connect the default app in Android 14.
If the application becomes a standard feature of the operating system (OS), an increasing number of application developers will incorporate the service into their applications.
The more applications that have a Health Connect connection, the easier it is for users to exchange their health and fitness data across applications.
It also implies that users may simply move between different brands of smartwatches without fear of losing health and fitness data.
According to the study, Health Connect is now accessible as an app on Android devices and Wear OS wearables.
Google and Samsung collaborated in May to allow developers to sync customers’ health and fitness data between Android apps and their devices.
